Ireland is served by two major low-cost national airlines – Ryanair and Aer Lingus – as well as dozens of international carriers, and has international airports at Dublin, Shannon and Knock. There are direct bus connections from each of these three airports to Galway city. Dublin airport is a 2.5 hour bus journey from Galway, while Shannon and Knock are each a 60-minute journey.
